Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places.

Kayley sighed. This was getting ridiculous. She and Messua had been in here for a few days, and so far, things had sucked. At least, she thought it had been a few days. It was hard to keep track of time when you didn't have a watch and there were no windows in the room. Her appearance was starting to look less than stellar, since she only had one set of clothes and there wasn't even a shower here, just a sink. The only way this could get worse was if the kidnapper started starving her. For the hundredth time, she inspected the walls, trying to find some kind of weak spot or opening, something that might be able to help her and Messua escape. As usual, she found nothing. "Ugh, this sucks!" she complained loudly, hitting her fist against the wall. Of course, that made no difference, except now her hand was hurting. "Shit," she muttered. That had been a stupid thing to do.

Octavia sat on the floor with her back against a wall and stared blankly at the space in front of her. She rested her hand on her stomach as she thought about what her life had come to. She wasn't entirely sure how long her and Megara had been trapped, but she guessed at least a couple of days. Someone had brought them food from time to time, but she had no idea who. She looked over at Megara, who was sleeping soundly on the bed. Octavia wondered what she would have done if she hadn't had Megara to calm her down from time to time. It had been a rough couple of days, but Octavia was starting to feel like she was getting used to it. At least she wasn't about to break down crying every other moment anymore. Suddenly she thought she heard something. It came from the other side of the wall. And again. She was sure of it. Could someone be there to save them? "Hallo, is anyone there?" she called out as she turned around, pressing the side of her face against the wall to listen more closely.

Kayley jumped slightly when she heard a voice address her. And it wasn't Messua. It seemed to be coming from the other side of the wall. Kayley had guessed that maybe she and Messua weren't the only prisoners here, but she had never been able to confirm it. But it looked like she had been right. "Hey, um...hi," she said loudly, hoping the woman could hear her. "Are you being held prisoner here too?" she asked. Kayley wondered how their kidnapper had been able to take so many people at once. Maybe there were multiple kidnappers at work here. That sometimes happened in the horror movies she had seen. Sometimes, there were multiple bad guys instead of just one.

A prisoner too? That meant the girl on the other side of the room wouldn't be able to help them out. Octavia realised that just for a brief moment she had gotten her hopes up and now she felt disappointed. "Y-yes, I am. My name is Octavia." She didn't shout, but talked loudly, hoping that would be enough. It had sounded like the girl on the other side was doing the same. "I'm here with a woman named Megara." Octavia wondered if it was wise to tell that to a stranger, but she convinced herself that there would be no harm in sharing a name. She wondered how many people was trapped, and the only way to really keep them separated in her mind and count them, would be to name them. "What's your name and are you alone in there?"

Octavia and Meg...so it looked like there were two prisoners in each room. Or, so it seemed. It was kind of hard for Kayley to guess that when there were only three other people besides herself that she knew about. What she wouldn't give to see some floor plans of this place, or at least figure out how many other people were here. "I'm Kayley," she said. "It's nice to meet you, despite the...circumstances." She gave a sigh before Octavia asked if she was alone. "Nope. I've got another woman here with me named Messua," she replied. She paused for a moment before saying "I wonder if this kidnapper has a thing for women." Maybe there were guys here, but there was no way to know that for sure. Besides, women tended to be kidnapped more often then men.

Megara.. Kayley.. Messua.. Octavia repeated all the names in her head for a moment, making sure she remembered them. Counting always calmed her down, so that was an added bonus. "That's possible," Octavia said when Kayley mentioned that they might only be girls in there. "I wonder how many of us there are." There could be tens or hundreds for all she knew. It was scary to think that this could possibly be an orginased kidnapping of so many people. She didn't even want to think about what someone would do with so many kidnapped girls. "How long have you been trapped in here?" She wondered if they had been kidnapped around the same time.

"I've been wondering the same thing," Kayley replied. "What I wouldn't give to get out of this stupid room." She gave an annoyed kick at the wall. "What's yours like? Ours is so freaking dark, I swear I'm gonna go blind eventually, even with my glasses. And all we have are these lame candles." She wondered if all the rooms were the same. Was every prisoner trapped in a dark room that had only candles for illumination? And no shower to boot? Kayley knew not having a bathtub was the least of her worries, but still. It aggravated her, just like everything else about this situation. "I'm not sure. Maybe a few days? We don't have any windows in here," she answered. That was probably the most annoying of all. There was no way to tell the time. The only indication that time was passing was the rotation of meals she and Messua got. At least, then could guess whether it was morning, afternoon, or evening.

Megara yawned and sat up as she stretched, she was still tired. However she knew that she needed to get up, otherwise she wouldn't be able to sleep. With that thought in mind, Meg slid off of the bed and ran a hand through her hair. Octavia was near one of the walls, the one where Messua had been. She stretched a little bit before she headed over towards Octavia. "So is that Messua? Or her room mate?" She asked curiously, keeping her voice lowered so she didn't interrupt their conversation. It was good to see that Octavia had calmed down somewhat, at least she hadn't had a panic attack in some time.

"It's... I guess better than what you could expect when being kidnapped. We have electric light, though it flickers from time to time." Octavia thought it was weird that the rooms would be so different. Was that on purpose or had the kidnapper lacked supplies to put electric lights in all the rooms? "I think we've been in here about the same time." Octavia had counted the meals, but she wasn't entirely sure if they got two or three meals a day. It was hard to tell, because time seemed to be passing awfully slow at times and she spent a lot of time asleep, when she wasn't talking to Megara. That way she could dream her way out of there, if only for a little while. Octavia turned her head when she saw movement in the corner of her eye. "It's her roommate, Kayley," Octavia said to Megara and gestured for her to come join her by the wall. "Kayley, my roommate Megara just woke up and is coming over here," she said after turning her head towards the wall again.

So, Octavia's room was slightly nicer, emphasis on slightly. Kayley wondered if they were going to stay in these rooms forever or if the kidnapper was going to switch them around a bit. Maybe it would give her a chance to see Octavia face-to-face. It was hard to guess what she looked like from her voice alone. It sounded like she and Octavia had been here for about the same amount of time. Either this kidnapper was pretty skilled, or they had had some help. It was hard to kidnap two people at once, four if you counted Messua and whoever Octavia's roommate was. "I wonder how this kidnapper got us all here at the same time," she said. "They must have a lot of resources to do it." Maybe the kidnapper was some rich freak who had decided to use their money to capture people and put them in this place. But Kayley's guessing was interrupted when Octavia announced that her roommate, who went by the name of Megara. "Hey Megara. How's life treatin' ya?" she asked in a lame attempt at some humor. Nothing about their situation was particularly funny, but they couldn't afford to go nuts or get depressed. Keeping their spirits up was going to be important if they wanted to get through this.
