Kayley groaned. Her head was pounding and her body ached all over. She struggled to open her eyes, blinking several times before she finally managed to take in her surroundings. It took her a moment to realize that she was someplace unfamiliar. And when she did, she got scared. She jolted upright, her head moving around quickly like a frightened rabbit's. The room was dark, that much was for certain. The only light came from some electrical candles that were laying around. There were no windows around at all. Kayley had no idea what time it was. The last thing she remembered was walking home at night after catching a movie. Evidently, she hadn't made it back. She looked over and gave a start when she realized that she wasn't the only person in the room. A young woman was also here, but it looked like she was still out cold. Kayley wasn't sure if having some company was good or bad at this point. Heck, she found it hard to think anything other than What the hell is going on? Normally, she loved a good scary story, but she had wanted to be a part of the supernatural ones, not the kidnapper/possible serial killer ones. Images of the film Saw flashed through her mind and her stomach churned. She hoped that wasn't the type of story she had gotten herself into.

Messua blinked in the unnatural light around her and closed her eyes again. She couldn't remember leaving the light on when she came back home from the airport and went to bed. She sighed silently. The feeling that she missed something wouldn't get better if she stayed lying on the floor. The black-haired tried to open her eyes again, blinked and then slowly moved into a sitting position. Her hand flew to her head. "Uuh...", the jetlag was heavier than she thought it would be. Her surroundings were blurry and the headache made her feel numb.
After a few minutes whom seemed to last like forever, her view cleared but the headache was still there. Messua looked around and raised on of her eyebrows, just to close her eyes in pain after. Damn that headache. She opened them again and gave the room a second look. It was nearly empty and the stone walls emitted a sense of coldness. Then her view fell on a girl a few meters away from her. It seemed like that girl had been staring at her for a while. Messua tried to give her a small comforting smile and surveyed her herself.

The woman soon awoke, much to Kayley's relief. "You okay?" she asked. The woman seemed to have come from an entirely different country, judging by the way she was dressed and the tiny red circle that was on her forehead. Maybe she was from India? She glanced around the room again, seeing if there was anything she had missed. Out of curiosity, she walked over and tried the door. "Locked. Of course," she complained. How long was she going to be locked here with this stranger? Not that Kayley minded her, but she hated not knowing where she was or who had put her here in the first place. She sighed, until she noticed something in the corner of the room. She blinked as she walked closer. "Wait...is that..." She bent down and picked it up. Apparently, somebody had left a human skull in the room. While most people might have freaked out and dropped it immediately, Kayley just went "Whoa..." in awe. Creepy things always fascinated her. "Looks like somebody wanted to amp up the creepiness of this room," she said, giving the skull a light flick of her finger. It made a short hollow sound.

"I'm fine.", Messua answered softly and quietly the girls question. It seemed like the girl was calm and the room didn't freak her out. Messua was glad to notice it. Only the fact that the door was locked, showed that the girl was afraid to be here. At least no crying or shouting. That wouldn't help both of them.
The black-haired stood up and lifted her head at the moment the girl showed her something. A skull. That was quite interesting. She walked closer to her and reached out her hand to stroke over the forehead of the skull. "Does the skull scare you?", she asked calmly. "It's just what's left of a human that might be like us. I hope he found peace."

The woman seemed pretty calm, despite everything. It actually made Kayley feel slightly better. She seemed as intrigued by the skull as Kayley was. She shook her head in answer to her question. "Not me, personally. I mean, I like stuff like this. I just wish I hadn't found it in a...place like this." She gestured to the room before something caught her eye. It looked like...blinking red light. Her eyes narrowed. "Hold on a sec," she said, placing the skull in the woman's hand before walking over to the right side of the room. Was that seriously...a camera? The more she looked at it, the more that seemed to be the case. There was a camera here, recording every little thing that happened. "Great. As if this room wasn't eerie enough," she said. "Now we got some sicko probably watching our every move." She sighed. This was getting so weird. What was going on? Why was she and this woman here? Had anyone else been captured? "You got any inkling on where we are, or who said sicko might be?" she asked, jerking a thumb towards the video camera.

She took the skull in both hands, slightly surprised by the sudden move of the girl. Messua watched her moves and looked at the camera herself. "I don't have any clue. The only thing I remember is that I went to bed when I came home from a flight.", she shrugged. The room didn't scare her at all, sometimes she had clients who liked to do the rituals in rooms like this. She didn't know why they seemed to fancy about it. Her view fell on the skull in her hands. A soft smile appeared on her face.
Messua moved slighty and put one of her hands on her hips. The other hand moved up to her head, the skull looking at her. "To be, or not to be, that is the question."

So, the woman was as clueless as Kayley was. She gave another sigh. "Well, it looks like we're going to be cooped up in here for a while, until we discover a way out," she replied. She felt sure they could. It wasn't like they could be kept here forever...could they? Kayley shook her head, trying to block out any gruesome images from scary movies that had this kind of situation. Horror movies were horror movies. They were different from real life. For one, the main characters in those movies were usually not the brightest, and Kayley considered herself somewhat smart. Not a genius, but not the village idiot. She ran a hand along the wall, wondering what she should do. She glanced back when the woman spoke. The quote sounded somewhat familiar to her. "Shakespeare, right?" she asked.
