You are a disgrace!

Post by Madge Baker on May 25, 2016 22:31:43 GMT
People were slowly begin to stir and wake, laying on soft grass, some in the warm, comforting sun and others in the cool, refreshing shadow of the trees. It was the first time they had been out of their dark cages since they were taken. If they hadn't been in room 1, they hadn't even seen the outside or felt the sun through the window. They really needed this. One more than the others. Hanging from one of the trees were a grand birdcage, so heavy it had to be supported by two nearby trees as well. In it was a dark-haired woman seeming none-the-better for her stay. She had probably been there for days feeling both rain and cold nights on her body. Her hair was a tangle and her clothes were a mess. There had been no need to put her to sleep either, she was already locked away and could not help what was happening either way. She had been witness to Madge placing the bodies in bewilderment and was soon to learn her plan. On the cage hung a note from a piece of tape with only tree letters in feminine handwriting: "Find the Key."
[NOTE: If you start looking for the key I might send you a PM saying you find it. I will only consider PMing those who start looking.]

Evelyn had watched as the Asian woman who had kidnapped her, place the unconscious people around in the garden. She had tried asking the woman what she was doing, but she had ignored the raven haired woman. Evelyn was so tired that she was unsure if she was even still awake.
But when she saw that some of the people had begun to stir, hope filled her. "Oh, please! Please wake up!" she called out, her voice a little dry, but she didn't care. All that mattered was getting out of this cage.
When the wind was strong enough, it would shake the cage, which was what woke her up the first time. The rain that had come down the previous night kept her awake. Her head felt stuffy, which she was sure meant she had a cold.
When someone had finally woken up and looked around in shock, Evelyn called again. "Please! Please help! This woman put me in here and placed all of you out here..." she explained, before sneezing. She shivered as a wind blew against her wet dress.

Kida twitched. Light. It was so bright. She lifted her hand to shield her eyes before she opened them. Waking like this was getting really old. She forced herself into a sitting position even though her body protested any sudden movement. Once she thought it was safe enough she put her hand down, even then she was squinting.
Outside. Her eyes widened, despite the sharp pain it caused her. They were outside. She shot to her feet, frantically looking around. Her mind screamed run. Run as fast and as far as she could to get away from this place, but run where? Was their captor watching? Did they collar them again? Was it a game? A test? Would they be shot if they tried to find a way out? She was dimly aware of shouting. She looked up, high in a tree was a poor woman, trapped. Tentatively Kida walked over. There was a note, hanging from the cage.
"Find the key?" she asked.
Find the key, help the woman. Kida looked at her for a moment. The woman was in a dreadful state. Was she taken just to replace the young girl who had died? Kida glanced around. There were a few people around her she didn't recognize. All of them trapped like she had been. She took a deep breath. This woman was obviously the bait, to get them to linger when they could try to run for it. But Kida couldn't just leave her, not after what happened to the girl in the first game.
"My name is Kida." she told the woman in the cage. "What's your name?"
After she got a name, she would have to search for the key.

Post by Messua Freya Ouédraogo on May 26, 2016 15:01:12 GMT
Messua felt the sleepiness lift from her body. Why did she fell asleep again? Was this another one of these deadly games? She sat up slowly, before opening her eyes and looking around. No, this was definitely not the cold and dark room, where they had played Russian Roulette. It was a garden. The clear air made her take in a deep breath.
The bodies next to her, caused her inner self to shake though. Hopefully they wouldn't have to play a game again. She surpressed a small scream and run to Garrett and Miguel. Both laying still unconscious on the ground. "Wake up, both of you.", she whispered, while checking if they were still alive. She sighed relieved, when she noticed they were.
That was, when she heard the quiet voice of a woman. Was there someone already awake? As far as she noticed not. At least none of the persons laying on the ground. Messua lifted her head and saw the bird cage. "Uhm... Hello.", she answered while slowly walking towards it. There was a woman inside and she didn't looked very healthy. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?", Messua gave her friends a short look, before turning her head back to the black-haired woman. "Why are you here?"

Evelyn let out a sigh in relief when two of the people came towards her. A woman with white hair and a woman with black hair. "My name is Evelyn... I've been here for a few days," she told the women as she gripped the bars, leaning her forehead against the metal.
Shaking her head at the raven haired woman's question, Evelyn whimpered a little. "N-no, I'm not okay... I'm not hurt, but I think I'm getting sick from being out in the rain... And I don't know why I'm here..."
The last thing she remembered was trying to convince both Ariel and Jim's agents to expand the search and involve more police. It was getting to where concerts for Jim were being cancelled and Ariel's roles in any movie or play she had been working on given to someone else.
"I was at home in my apartment, some of my friends are missing so I was trying to get the search expanded... Someone came into my house and I woke up here... I saw her! The woman!" she said suddenly. "She dragged you all out here and wouldn't answer me at all when I tried to get her to tell me what was going on..."
A gasp left her. "Are you okay? How about the others? Are they all right? What is this place? Do you know what is going on?"

Messua listened carefully to the black-haired girl. "I'm relieved you're fine. My name is Messua.", she nodded at Evelyn. "So people did notice that we were kidnapped. That's kinda good to hear.", she raised her eyebrow at Evelyn's remark of the kidnapper being female. That was uncommon but didn't make things easier.
"I don't really now what's going on so far...", Messua wasn't sure if it was a good idea to tell the young woman about the games yet. First they should get her out of the cage at least. Having a cold was making everything harder. The note on the bird cage said: "Find the key." But where would someone like a kidnapper with a fetish for deadly games hide the key? "Do you have a suggestion, where the key could be?", she was sure it wasn't in the bushes. That would be to easy. Maybe on a tree? Her view fell on one of the bigger ones. That would be fun to crawl up there...
Messua sighed and looked back at Evelyn. "As far as I know everyone in here seems to be fine.", besides the two that found dead earlier. "Is it okay to tell you Eve for short? It suits you more.", she blushed slightly and then smiled, though she was serious. "You must feel very cold up there..."

Post by Octavia Hale on May 26, 2016 19:50:00 GMT
The smell of grass filled Octavia's nostrils when she woke up. She couldn't remember the last time she had smelled anything so fresh. The sun blinded her eyes when she opened them. Was she outside? She sat up, confused and disoriented. She noticed soon after that she wasn't alone. She counted 4... no 5 people around her. But one of them seemed to be trapped in some sort of cage. Octavia got up on her feet and started walking a bit closer to the people around the cage, trying to hear what they were talking about. Meanwhile she studied the surroundings. They were outside, but they didn't appear to be free. A wall surrounded the garden they were in. But maybe they could climb it?

"Messua is pretty name," Evelyn said, smiling a little.
She gasped at the very thought that her friends might be there. "Do you think my friends are here?" It would be awful if her friends were in a place like this. Though part of her would be happy to see them alive at least.
She shook her head at the raven haired woman's next words. "I tried asking the woman what she wanted, but I don't think it's money... My friends and I are in the entertainment industry, so money isn't really an object with us," she said, sort of unsure if she should reveal herself to be Evelyn Snow, the singer.
Though it probably didn't matter here.
"Key? Oh no, I didn't see where she hid it. Um... it would probably be some place hard to find... " she said, before seeing Messua look up at the trees. "Oh, it could be there? I can't see through the branches to tell..."
Evelyn felt herself relax at little at Messua's words on the people being okay. "Oh good... Only you and Miss Kida here have gotten up. I was starting to worry..." She felt relieve at knowing no one was hurt.
"Oh, I don't mind at all! And thank you, that's very sweet of you to say," she said, smiling down at Messua.
Another shiver went through her at Messua's comment. "Yes, very... it had rained for a long time last night... My clothes are still soaked..." She rubbed her hands on her arms a little.

"Thank you Eve.", Messua smiled warm and softly. "I'm not sure if they are here. We are around 20 people, pardon me, with you 21 people who got kidnapped.", she bit her lower lip. "It can be, that they are here, you could try explain me how they look like.", she hoped for Eve that her friends were just on a trip. Or that, if they ended up in here they weren't under the two dead persons. Hopefully.
"Anyways it is time to get you out of there.", Messua looked around again. With her white dress she couldn't go and climb a tree. At least not if she liked to ruin it. Somehow she had grown to it and it was unpractical to climb in a dress. She could undress herself if the men didn't want to climb. Miguel could. She would forbid Garrett to climb with his blind eyes.
"Mmh... where can it be...", she mumbled. Still the bushes were to obvious. At least worth a try. If it wasn't there she could still search somewhere else. "Do you mind me going around and search for it?"

Post by Miguel Olivero on May 26, 2016 22:12:26 GMT
The sudden cool in the air, he was breathing, made Miguel shiver. The man scratched his nose in his sleep and turned over on his other side. He heard a familiar female voice gently whisper, but it was too soft for Miguel to tell for sure. "Ariel, dear... Close the window, please," he murmured in response, still being not fully awake. "Wait a second," he realised, that there was no window in the room where he and Ariel were! Miguel sat up and rubbed his eyes, trying to focus. The chill of something wet ran down right along his spine. He was still topless, because he left his shirt on the bed. He looked down and couldn't belive his eyes! It was wet grass. He was outside. He rapidly looked around, noticing that there were one man and three... Miguel's eye caught the woman in the cage. Four. Two man and four woman. One of them was Messua, who was currantly talking to a "imprisoned" girl. "My name is Evelyn..." "Evylyn," Miguel repeated the girl's name inwardly. It seemed to him that he had heard the name once recently, but he couldn't remember where and when... Since everyone, exept the other guy were awake, Miguel decided to check him if he was still alive or not. He got up, walked towards the man with long hair, kneeled and checked his pulse. Yeap, he was still alive. For now. Miguel was entierly sure that their kidnapper got them in another "deadly game" of his, so there was a possibility that their lives could find an end here, in this... garden? Miguel got up on his feet again, looking around. "Key? Oh no, I didn't see where she hid it..." The fair-haired man turned his head towards the girl in the cage. A key? With his short quick step, he walked up to the tree and read the note. "Yes, very... it had rained for a long time last night... My clothes are still soaked..." Poor girl. Miguel drew his gaze to the girl's eyes, giving her a supportive smile. "I'm Miguel Olivero, Evelyn. I think... haven't we met before?.." Miguel gave her a smile once again, with corners of his lips. "Perhaps, even if we did, it was in a better life," he suppressed a chuckle, his face remaining serious as before. "Anyways it is time to get you out of there." "I agree. I think that women - who could be our kidnapper or his assistant - wants us to find that key.. and I certainly support it!" Miguel responded to Messuas suggestion and nodded. "Do you mind me going around and search for it?"" Miguel heard Messua's voice and said, "I think I can start with a tree." Then he turned on his heels with his hands behind his back, speaking to the "assembled", "We all have to split and start searching for the key..." "Messua," he spoke to the mysterious waman and then turned his head towards the blond one, "Take her with you and look around the bushes and the ground." "And you," he set his sight to the girl with white hair, "Check the fence on the perimeter of the garden." Miguel hoped that nobody would not rebel against the fact that he took command himself. There was not the time to quarrel. They needed to find that key.

Evelyn hadn't really noticed the man that had joined Messua near her cage. Her brown eyes glanced to him and she looked at him in shock.
Miguel? Ariel's Miguel? She thought, before Miguel answered her question.
A gasp left her. "Miguel? I-I can't believe... I'm friends with Ariel. I-I knew Jim and Ariel have been missing, but I never heard you were!" She placed a hand over her mouth.
Now she was sure... Jim and Ariel had to be there. They had to be with the rest of the group of people Messua told her about. But from what she could tell, the others with her in the garden were not famous like she and her friends were.
A blonde man came to her mind, causing her heart to skip a beat. Cale... You have to be safe... She hoped, shaking the feeling and thought that Cale could possibly be there.
He always got out of trouble... Her thoughts trailed off when Miguel started to order a search for the key to the birdcage. "Oh, thank you, all of you..."

Kida raised a brow over the man who started telling them what to do. She was half tempted to tell him to just shove it but he had a point. If they split up, covered more ground, they had a better chance of finding the key than if they stood there like a bunch of ninnies. So she just shrugged.
"We'll see about getting you down, Evelyn." she said.
She walked over to the fence, grimacing as she drew close. She would have to be particularly careful not to step over it or on it as she walked. Passing it wouldn't do her any good either. Slowly she began to scan the ground for any sign of a key, hopefully shiny enough to catch glint of lights or not.

Aha! Evelyn was friends with Ariel, so that's why it seemed to him that he saw her face or heard her name somewhere. Wellp, three years sounds like an enough amount of time to forget about stuff and people you used to know, but not for our faired haired guy, who really "likes" to relive the events of the past in his mind daily. "Oh, thank you, all of you..." Miguel sortly nodded at Evelyn's words of gratitude and carefully examined the keyhole of the birdcage. The key that would fit this lock could be a regular size and, probabbly, iron one... Meanwhile, the girl with white hair didn't seem much of a talker, but still without many words spoken she immediately started to search for that damn key. Miguel had not hesitated to join her. He rub his hands together and said in a low voice, squatting down to look - for the key of course - at the roots, "Here we go." Then - after that short inspection - he got up and walked right up to the birdcage. "Pardon, my lady," resting his foot on the birdcage, Miguel's hands had found a branch he could reach, and he pulled himself up onto it. After that the man climbed higher and cought the balance to hold himself on the tree, he started to seach for the key through and around the branches, sub-branches, twigs, and leaves...

The key wasn't along the base of the fence. Kida made a second round, this time looking up the sides. Something like a key should be easy to spot. It would be the same metal as the cage the poor woman was in. But the grass was probably tall enough to hide it.
"Is anyone having any luck?" She asked.
Was there a hint or a riddle? No. It just said, find the key. Unless that was the riddle. What if the person took the key with them? Only pretending to hide the key for the sake of sending them on a wild goose chase.

Miguel kept on searching through the branches.. and twigs... and leaves... After a while he became tired of searching. Wondering if there was a key to be found. Perhaps there was no key. And that was the game? Miguel couldn't help but wonder as his hands kept on searching. He moved further. Before his eyes found a small hollow tree. Miguel moved from where he was. His hand carefully reaching into the hollow side. "Got it!" He said when he felt something cold against his finger tips. Taking the key out of the tree. Miguel couldn't help but smile. He got down to the ground. A proud smile upon his lips as he moved towards the cage. "How about some freedom Evelyn. Would you like that?" Miguel asked the black haired woman and unlocked the cage. Perhaps one day Evelyn and Ariel could meet.. They were friends.. But that would mean he'd have to change rooms. And Miguel wouldn't want to part from Ariel's side just yet.
(OCC: this post was entirely written by Audrey! I want to thank her once again for the help, because, unfortunately, I got really REALLY sick and my brain wasn't able to write a proper one post. Still, since Ylva send me a message that Miguel will find the key in the tree, I couldn't left Evelyn imprisoned. So yay Evelyn you are free!)
