Full name: Isabelle Ava Blackwood
Nationality: English
Age: Twenty
Zodiac: Cancer
Looks: Isabelle has her brown hair down as it is long and always wears pretty dresses. She also has a charm bracelet that she constantly keeps on because it was a gift from her recently deceased husband, each charm is a memory they had together.
Personality:
Isabelle is a snob and can be very bitchy and judgemental of others, if she chooses to acknowledge you at all. She has been brought up in a society that values materialistic items, so she finds herself often doing the same. They provide a stability that cannot be offered through the temperamental lives of others. Since losing her husband, she has closed herself off from most people or at least distanced herself so she feels little emotional attachment. She has her social circle, but she keeps them at arms length which isn't hard as most of them have very little brains.
Initially, Izzy will be very prickly and is critical of people she meets. She tries not to get close to others if she can help it, instead preferring the company of books. Isabelle can be sarcastic and quick-witted, she does not let the insults or follies of others get to her. She can be self-entitled and sharp. However, she is loyal to those she cares deeply for and is willing to make difficult decisions to keep them from harm.
History:
Isabelle Ava Blackwood was born into a very esteemed household. Her parents were well thought of by the royal family, being the Duke and Duchess of York. Growing up, Izzy wanted for nothing and would often find herself reading a good book in a pretty frock.
Isabelle was twelve when she realised that her perfect life was not as it seemed, she found a letter on her father's desk. It was from a woman who claimed to have had his child, a baby boy. Izzy didn't understand this and when her father caught her, he told her it was all a lie. She pretended to believe him.
When she was thirteen, her mother died. A woman who Izzy looked much like. Broken-hearted, her father could no longer stand the sight of her and tried to keep her separate from him.
When Izzy turned sixteen, her father married her off to a suitor. One whom he knew would take care of her, but would take her out of the house. They needed the money so they secured her a marriage with a wealthy man. Initially, she was a young girl, scared and trapped in a marriage to a man she did not know. However, as time passed, she grew to see the softer side to him. He never made her do anything she didn't feel comfortable doing and slowly, she came to love him. So much so, that she was blind to the cruelty he treated others with.
When Izzy was nineteen, only two years into her marriage, her husband was murdered. It was suspected to be Ruber Keen, but no hard evidence was ever found. Izzy tried to get justice but the courts failed her.
Isabelle was sent into a spiral of despair. She vowed never to let a man enter her heart again for it was weakness. She decided to be stronger, to never let anyone fail her again. She dedicated herself to books and gaining knowledge, sharpening her mind. Though, after six months of hiding herself away, she grew lonely.
Isabelle made the decision to seek out her half-brother.
Due to her great influence in England, it did not take her long to find the man she sought. John Smith-Kowalski.
Isabelle went to the bar he owned and ordered a drink. She had hoped the alcohol would help her confidence to approach him. However, before she could, a group of hooligans approached her and were trying to bet who would be able to woo the Duchess.
John came to her rescue and barred the strangers. However, it seemed that he did not do this out of the good of his heart. Afterwards, he attempted to kiss her. Izzy was disgusted and surprised, in her shock she blurted the confession that she was really his sister.
At first, Isabelle found herself loathing John. She didn’t like the way he acted. However, as the year passed, she grew to care deeply for her brother. He was always there for her, the one stable piece of her family.
Isabelle felt safe.
