New Roommate? (Vincenzo)

Vinny was almost tempted to groned again, a frequent a our encephalitis these... days it would seem, but decided against it, he was still in the same way he fell asleep in, so he hadn't been moved, but either way the Professor wouldn't have minded him resting some more.
Though he was still in the same room, the voice he then heard whisper was definitely not the History Professor like the first time.

He opened his eye and looked at the woman now in the room,
"Oh, ay, I didn't see you in the Roulette room, are you new to this prison or have I just not been introduced to everyone ay?"

Vinny begun have a sense of... something, maybe dejavou, had he met this woman before? In another life? On a job? Nah, it was likely just the gas messing with him some.

"You're awake," Kida murmured dully.

At least he wasn't dead. She had that going for her. Being stored down here, where ever here happened to be, with a dead body was not something Kida ever wanted to experience. The man had been so still she hadn't been sure. Plus, she was worried about her roommate. Was Celia in another game? Was she gone too like the girl who had been killed?

"Russian Roulette?" she asked. "No. I was... They had me in a different game. With ten... Nine other people."

Nine because one had died. She sighed. This wasn't going well. Russian Roulette, that meant another person was gone. If her math was right, there were originally twenty people here. Two were dead. Now there were eighteen? Or did the killer not do groups of ten? She bit her lip. Twenty people and no one had been reported missing? No one was looking for them?

"Another game? I'm guessing the outcome was the same though?" Vinny glanced at the camera,
"Is there at least some method to your Madness eh?"
He turned back to the woman,
"So, uuh, last time my roommate and I shared a, uhh, professional interest in history. We thought maybe that might've been a connection, given most of everything else seemed to menial or personal to be linked. So what about you? Favour the dusty libraries over... um, whatever young ladies into nowdays?"

"If someone died in yours, then yes, same outcome. And there is no method to the madness," Kida said.

She folded her arms across her chest. Their captor was a mad person, that was the only method to the madness that there was to this. They were insane and people were dying. For all of her power outside of this mad house, Kida had no power inside these walls to stop it. She was left feeling angry, helpless and quite bitter about the whole situation in general.

"I write books," Kida said. "The woman and I who shared a room with last... We're from two entirely different social standings."

"Books eh? Anything I might have heard of? Or do write for a specific age group, one younger then 40?Heh" He tried to be humorous, sensing the woman's agitation.
"Should be a while till the next one, given the room swap and all. If you want to pick a side, I'll steer clear for you"

"It's a young adult novel, but has a fairly decent standing with adult readers," Kida said.

She then looked at him in confusion. Pick a side? Avoid her? This man had done her no wrong. He hadn't tried to hurt her. His plan made no sense to get. Unless it was to avoid getting hurt if one of them died.

"Why would we need to steer clear of one another?" She asked. "It's not like you want to be here any more than I do."

"Ah, yeah, sorry, used to being on the job still, most of the time when I've shared with women, they tend to want to split the room. Part of me thinks that just how women are"
He laughs for a moment
"Probably another reason I never bother dating. Bit to old now"
He laughed again,
"So what part of the world did you get snatched from eh?"

"I'm not like the other women then," Kida shrugged. "But any funny business and we will go with your plan, got it?"

She smoothed a hand through her hair. She may not have chosen her roommate, but if he went about ignoring her, she might lose her mind. Kida was a naturally social creature by nature, typically she was always armed with something to say, but just flat out ignoring someone made no sense. They were stuck together. It wouldn't do to ignore the potential 'ally' in these four walls that she was more favorable to call Hell.

"I was in Greece and I was heading to the beach. What's your story?" she asked.

"I work for some dangerous people, dangerous but fair, I was having some time off at my family's flower shop in Italy"
Vinny stepped forward,
"Anyway, Grand tour, 'bed' is there, creepy painting next to me here, and the bathroom is through there"
He pointed to them as he spoke,
"Very sparse room, Relatively sure there are others on the other side of this wall and the one you're nearer"

"I take it you didn't switch rooms then?" Kida asked.

She frowned as she looked back up at the painting. Now that was just disturbing. Granted, now that she had been here long enough to go through a few games, she wasn't exactly sure their host was right in the head. The room was a huge step down from her first room, but Kida had stayed in worse places when she was backpacking.

"Would you mind helping me turn that painting around? I don't think I can sleep with that thing over us." she said.

"Sure sure, and yeah, haven't been moved"
He walked over and reached to the painting
"Not sure what the artist was thinking at the time, but them again, I could probably guess it'd be something similar to our 'host'. Oh yeah, didn't get your name yet"
Vinny turned back around as he finishes flipping the painting.

"My name is Kida." She said. "And uh, thanks. That picture game me the creeps."

She really couldn't complain. If a picture was the worst she experienced in here, she was lucky. She bit her lip. Two people gone. Just gone. She shuddered.

"It's nice to meet you. Despite the circumstances."
